Bored to bits!
(and it's agnes's birthday!)
.
okayy.
am so bored i decided
to do some research on myself.
as in my horoscope and stuff!
.
Is your birthday day 28 of the month?
.
1. You are a capable person but you usually underestimate your own ability. This is the cause of missing numbers of opportunity to step forward.
(capable. good. underestimate.bad.)
.
2. If you try to give yourself a chance, you can be successful in life.
(okayy. what chance?)
.
3. Try to see things on the bright side and you will be happier than ever.
("always look on the bright side of life" i have! maybe it should become "always lokk on the way brighter side of life")
.
4.You are quite unlucky in love. The one in your arm is not the one in your heart.
(unlucky in love. great. thanks alot.)
.
5. Your love has so many ups and downs.
(ahh. more trouble again. great.)
.
6.You often chicken out before seeing any progress in love.
(i realise maybe i should not fall in love, in case 4,5 or 6 comes true.)
.
.
Virgos !
This concern for details is just their way of helping to make the world a better place.
(agreed. i like the world!)
Every where Virgos look, they see the things that need to be reorganized, fixed up or made to work more efficiently

(depends. alright. yes!)
Their methods are precise and usually produce the desired result; if not, things must be reevaluated and fine tuned.
(ehh.. guilty!)
All are respected for doing a good job, but are not known for much more.
(i hope not..)
They prefer not to partake in office gossip or politics.
(absolutely wrong about gossip. i'm a girl. which girl doesn't gossip?! but politics.. nah!)
Virgos dress appropriately for work, selecting quality clothes.

(ahh.. i doubt i do)
Some are very fashionable, but always in a restrained manner.
(fashionable, good. restrained?!)
Interestingly many Virgos are vegetarians and the rest are usually health conscious to some degree.
(couldn't be more wrong. i'm a meat eater. and i'm so not health conscious!)
Overwork and worry are their worst enemies.

(true. true.)
On their jobs, Virgos are not so much interested in getting credit, as doing a good job.
(it depends, why not get credit when you can?)
Many fine writers are Virgos as well as their copy editors and proof readers. They attend to the smallest details as tailors and dressmakers.
(i actually didn't want to know that.)
It is common to find Virgos dedicating their lives to the medical field as physicians, dentists and pharmacists. They also staff the hospitals from the dietitians who plan meals to the technicians who analyze test results.

(ahh.. how come there's no mention of architects?)
The positions of health inspectors and environmental clean-up crews are perfect for them.

(environmental clean up crew? doesn't it sound like beach cleaning?! yippe!!)
Virgos would be thrilled to be offered the position of comptroller, systems analyst or statistician.
(not exactly. )
Virgos do not make friends easily.
(true, to some extent)
They are actually somewhat shy about disclosing personal details about themselves.
(hahas. yupp. guilty.)
They have only a few real friends because they give very special values to friendship to which other people cannot commit.
(once again. guilty!)
Virgos wonder why someone would be interested in them, since they do keep low-profiles.
(yahh.. i wonder..) (=
And there's a good chance they are bothered by feelings of inferiority.
(of myself or others? i'm confused)
Many Virgos remain unattached due to high expectations.
(i can't believe even my horoscope is doing this to me.)
Even when involved in good relationships, they don't make a show of their feelings, which is unfortunate.
(down in love. single. i got it! can we can something new?!)
They also say they don't want people making a fuss over them, but they really do like being appreciated.
(yupp. i guess.)
And it's true that Virgos, have a tendency to be critical of those around them. It's not that they want to hurt anyone's feelings, it's just that they think that failings need to be pointed out, so that they can be remedied.
(i am critical! didn't know that was a good thing!)
And they aren't any harder on others than they are on themselves.
(guilty.)
Virgos are really their best when someone needs special health care. They will remain by your side and show patience concerning every aspect of recovery.
(aww.. really?! hahas.)
.

.
okayy. i must be so super bored
to do this. (=
hahas.
all i know now is that
i'm going to probably be single
for the rest of my life.
according to my birth date
and horoscope.
which is pretty much my life.
thank goodness i don't believe
in these stuff..
i hope.

it was so armegadon-ish
the whole "main character
sacrifices his life to save the
whole of japan"and his lover
is widowed.

sort of a sad show.

any space to walk,
let alone park a car.
.
when people said that it was big
i didn't believe.
hahas.
boy was i wrong.
i mean there were many shops.
many many!
.
the only thing that was more
than shops were the people.
and i mean many many more.
i thought half the population
of singapore went there today.
sheesh.
.
all in all.
didn't buy anything.
except sushi and water
cause i was hungry.
(=
.

Religion retreat!
.
just finished I & R
so i shall blog about the retreat.
.
it was relatively fun at times.
with all the games,
praise and worship
some talks.
.
and boring at others.
the confession part,
the telematch
and some other talks.
.
but it was rather slack.
they even had a movie night.
we watched
The Lion King!
(=
been ages since i've seen it
so nice.
.
i went to camp with very low expectations.
i'm glad i was proven wrong.
the camp did help improve
my relationship with god.
i feel so much in tune with him now.
.
anyway, here are some pictures
i took at camp.

the PSI is like 130.
even this morning it was already hazy
at least at my housing area.
here's some pictures i took
since the wee hours in the morning.
to when i was going home.

on a brighter note,
i'm going to fully enjoy myself
with tv tonight!
no wait.
my sister's going to hog the tv!

an inconvenient truth.
.
watched the movie yesterday.
with ado, grace, mrs tan, joyce,
rosel, fabian, bobby*and chris
and (with special mention) Anne!!
.
can't say whether the show was good or bad
cause i really don't know.
but i think it did achieve their main motive.
to cause an impact.
.
i walked in all happy and chatty
walked out a changed person
feeling all tragic.

.
it made me realise:
how much threat the world is in.
with the rapidly increasinging pollution
with the increase global warming.
how we can do so much to help
but are just to lazy to.
but are just not interested.
but are just too ignorant.
.
"Climate change is the most severe problem that we are facing today, more serious even than the threat of terrorism."

Fond memories for those
who born in the
70s and 80s.
.
evan emailed me this. i think it's really cool.
really brings back memories of the past.
even though technically, i was born in 1989.
and some of them i have no idea of.

.
1. You grew up watching He-man, MASK, Transformers, Silver Hawk and Mickey Mouse. Not to forget, Ninja turtles, My Little Pony and Smurfs too.
.
2. You grew up brushing your teeth with a mug in Primary school during recess time. You will squat by a drain with all your classmates beside you, and brush your teeth with a coloured mug.The teachers said you must brush each side 10 times too.
.
3. You pay 40 cents for Chocolate or Strawberry MILK every week in class.
.
4. You watch a very popular Malay dubbed Japanese drama on RTM1 about schoolgirls who possess powerful skills in volleyball called Meoro Attack.
.
5. You find your friends with pagers and handphone cool in Secondary school.
.
6. SBS buses used to be non-airconditioned. The bus seats are made of wood and the cushion is red. The big red bell gives a loud BEEP! when pressed. There are colourful tickets forTIBS buses. The conductor will check for tickets by using a machine which punches a hole in the ticket.
.
7. Envelopes given to us to donate to Sharity Elephant every Children's Day.
.
8. You've probably read Young Generation magazine. You know who's Vinny the little vampire and Acai the constable.
.
9. You were there when they first introduced MRT here. You went for the first ride with your parents and you would kneel on the seat to see the scenery.
.
10. Movie tickets used to cost only $3.50.
.
11. Gals are fascinated by Strawberry Short Cake and Barbie Dolls.
.
12. You longed to buy tibits called Kaka (20 cents per pack), and Ding Dang (50 cents per box), that had a toy in it and it changes every week not forgetting the 15 cents animal crackers and the ring pop, where the lollipop is the diamond on the ring.

.
13. Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, The Three Investigators, Famous Five and Secret Seven are probably the thickest story books you ever thought you have read. Even Sweet Valley High and Malory Towers.
.

14. KFC used to be a high class restaurant that serve food in plates and let you use metal forks and knives.
.
15. The most vulgar thing you said was asshole and idiot and THE MOST EXTREME WAS 'super white'...you just couldn't bring yourself to say the hokkien relative.
.
16. Catching was the IN thing and twist as the magic word.
.
17. Your English workbooks was made of some damn poor quality paper that was smooth and yellow.
.
18. The only computer lessons in school involved funny pixellised characters in 16 colours walking about trying to teach you maths.
.
19. Waterbottles were slinged around your neck and a must everywhere you go.
.
20. Boys loved to play soccer with small plastic balls in the basketball court.
.
21. Teng-teng, five stones, chapteh, hentam bola and zero point were all the rage with the girls and boys too...
.
22. Science was fun with the balsam and the angsana being the most important plants of our lives, guppies and swordtail being the most important fish.
.
23. Who can forget Ahmad, Bala, Sumei and John, eternalized in our minds from the textbooks. Even Mr Wally & Mr. Yakki. What abt Miss Lala??? And Zaki and Tini in Malay Textbooks
.
24. We carry out experiments of our own to get yourself badges for being a Young Zoologist/Botanist etc.
.
25. Every Children's day and National day you either get pins or pens with 'Happy Children's Day 1993' or dumb files with 'Happy National Day 1994'.
.
26. In Primary six you had to play buddy for the younger kids like big sister and brother.
.
27. We wear BM2000, BATA, or Pallas shoes.
.
28. Your form teacher taught you Maths, Science and English.
.
29. You went to school in slippers and a raincoat when it rained, and you find a dry spot in the school to sit down, dry your feet, and wear your dry and warm socks and shoes.
.
30. There would be spelling tests and mental sums to do almost everyday.
.
31. Your friends considered you lucky and rich if your parents gave you $3 or more for pocket money everyday.
.
32. You see Wee Kim Wee's face in the school hall.
.
33. You freak out when the teacher tells you to line up according to height and hold hands with the corresponding boy or girl
.
34. Autograph books were loaded with "Best Wishes", "Forget Me Not", and small poems like "Bird fly high, hard to catch.Friend like you, hard to forget".
.
35. Class monitors and prefects loved to say "You talk somemore, I write your name ah!"
.
36. Large, colourful schoolbags were carried.
.
37. You brought every single book to school, even though there was one thing called the timetable.
.
silly childhood years.

Irony of a bird's life
.
okayy.
just finish sending out task

for PW again.
and as usual,

the whole group has to edit it again.
haix.
i'll be really glad when we

finally hand up the WR.
.
anyway.
meeting grace later to go to marina square.
cheryl told me that's not called "isolated"
but to me it is.
cause i've only been there 3 times.
i hope the show's good.
since like it's so hugely publicised at
the Environmental Youth Forum.
will give it a review when i get home!
or the next day rather. (=
.
ohh.

something which i realised today
while walking to the junction.
pigeons and other small birds from that area
eat.. cat food.
i'm serious!
i always see them hovering round some brown pile
and eating it hungrily.
and today i took a really close look.
cat food.
those pieces of dry cat food.
.
maybe it ain't very clear.
but they're really eating cat food.
the irony of it.

.
now i'm feeling catharsis.
*emphatise with and yet angry with*
i think.
hahas.
i forgot to write that.
forget it.
othello is over!
.
it's been ages since i watch any movie.
so i'm really excited and anticipating tomorrow's
movie watching of the show.
"an inconvenient truth"
.
it's about global warming and its harmful effects.
i been waiting to see it since i heard about it
from the environmental youth forum.
going with mrs tan, ado, grace and others.
at some isolated place.
but will probably be very very nice.
can't wait.

but look at the back portion
you can hardly see the buildings!
the PSI was at 150.
.
and when my hopes were up
that today would hit 200 plus.
i woke up with a clear sky.
darn.
.
i was hoping school would be closed.
apparently god didn't want me to.
fate.
